Abstract
The invention relates to a motor-vehicle spring in the form of a helix, in particular for running gear or valves. This motor-vehicle spring is composed of a titanium alloy. A motor-vehicle spring of this design has a considerably higher natural frequency than a comparable spring made of steel. A significant reduction in weight is furthermore achieved. The motor-vehicle spring can furthermore contain aluminium, vanadium, molybdenum and tin in order to allow it, on the basis of the high tensile and fatigue strength thereby achieved, to cope even with large dynamic stresses.
