Abstract
The turbine has a rotor with an outer ring (1) which revolves on bearings round the central portion. Water under pressure enters the central section through a central bore (7) and is ejected through radial passages (9). The outer ring has cups (6) on its inside, water ejected from the central part impinging on the cups to cause t he ring to rotate. The rotating drives the sun wheel of a planetary gear. The output spider of the gear has a shaft to which a clearning tool is fixed. The mechanism is contained in a casing (14) which has three centering lugs (20) to keep it central in the pipe being cleaned.
