Abstract

L'installation comporte un dispositif 1 de fabrication du tapis en laine minérale, des couteaux 4 de découpages longitudinal et transversal en bandes distinctes, un convoyeur 5 avançant le tapis vers le traitement suivant, un malaxeur 6 à conduite 7 amenant la pulpe produite sur un convoyeur de formage 9. Cette conduite 7 comporte un évasement d'extrémité de diamètre correspondant à la largeur du tapis formé. Auprès de la conduite est placé un dispositif 8 de préformage à bande sans fin. Ce dispositif est superposé et rigidement fixé au convoyeur 9, à intervalle correspondant à l'épaisseur formée. Le convoyeur 5, pivotant dans le plan vertical, comporte un bloc 11 déclenchant les couteaux 4 au pivotement sur sa position inférieure, et déplaçant le malaxeur 6, à conduite 7, vers le côté, pour l'avancement direct du tapis dans la chambre 10 de traitement. La présente invention est applicable notamment à la production des matériaux fibreux et calorifuges.
