Abstract

Les deux branches qui portent les patins du frein sont montées pivotantes sur des axes inclinés par rapport au plan médian de la jante, ces deux axes concourant en un point situé dans ce plan et allant en divergeant dans la direction d'avancement de la jante. L'angle d'inclinaison est de préférence égal au moins à 30 degrés environ. Cette disposition inclinée des axes conduit à une augmentation de l'effort tangentiel de freinage sur la jante, donc à une amélioration de l'efficacité du frein. L'invention s'applique aux freins dont les branches sont articulées sur une pièce en forme de croissant fixée à la fourche, ainsi qu'aux freins à tasseaux dans lesquels les branches sont articulées directement sur la fourche.
