Invention concernant des convoyeurs. Appareil d'entraînement et de freinage incluant un système moteur pour exercer un couple d'entraînement sur une charge, un premier dispositif de commande pour démarrer et terminer le couple d'entraînement, un moyen de freinage pour la charge, un deuxième dispositif de commande pour appliquer et relâcher le moyen de freinage pour la charge, un dispositif de mémoire adapté à recevoir des valeurs instantanées du couple appliqué sur la charge pour l'entraîner et des moyens reliant entre eux le premier dispositif de commande, le deuxième dispositif de commande et le dispositif de mémoire. Application à des convoyeurs à bande.
