Abstract

The door hinge comprises three or more components, the central one having at each end a trunnion round which end pieces turn. It is secured and held aligned by cylindrical plugs (4) engaging in mating sockets extending across the central and end components (1, 2). Each plug has a peripheral locking groove in which a locking device (5) engages, so that it can turn in its socket but cannot slide in it. When the plug is moved in the axial direction the hinge is moved also. The plug sockets can be blind holes, while the plugs themselves can have each an external shoulder (4e) with flats on it on which a spanner fits.
