Abstract

The ornamental and externally mounted "spindle" hinge may be used on furniture doors and provides for lateral and vertical adjustments during door hanging. The assembly is fixed by four screws of which two attach to the door and two attach to the sub-frame. The screws also serve as adjusting screws and may be masked by sliding sleeves. The hinge may comprise three co-axial vertical tubes with the intermediate length connected to the door, and a stepped stub-axle provided at each joint. A screw fixes each terminal tube to the sub-frame and a screw fixes each stub-axle to the door.
