Abstract

The trailer (1) e.g. a dung spreader has wheels (6) mounted in tandem on beams (4) each beam being pivoted at its centre on axle (5) so that it can seesaw in a bearing on a bracket (11) fixed to the chassis. There is an hydraulic cylinder (7) which is used to raise the trailer. The hydraulic cylinder (7) is controlled from the tractor (16). The cylinder (7) forms part of a fourbar chain being pivotally connected to the beam (4) and having a link from the beam to the end of the cylinder. A return spring is included in the system extension of the cylinder jack raising the load (21).
