Abstract

The decorations, designs, advertisements etc. which are often printed and displayed on glass windows can be made permanent and immune from deterioration by using double or multiple glazing. The design is printed on the inner surface of one of the glass sheets of the double glazed window so that it is hermetically sealed. The principle can be applied, using any manner of reproducing a design or picture, that is by printing, painting, photography, enamelling, transfers or glueing. Any type of glass can be used, clear, frosted, tinted. In addition, the designs may make use of liquid crystals or light emitting diodes powered by electrical or solar energy.
