Abstract
L'invention concerne l'industrie des catalyseurs de conversion d'hydrocarbures aromatiques. On améliore la stabilité d'un catalyseur par un prétraitement qui consiste à le mettre en contact avec des hydrocarbures en phase liquide, à une température d'environ 50 à 250 degrés C, sous une pression pouvant atteindre 50 bars, en l'absence d'hydrogène, le catalyseur provenant du lessivage acide d'une forme hydrogène de mordénite, d'un rapport molaire silice/alumine d'environ 15 à 21, les hydrocarbures utilisés pour le contact ayant de préférence la composition du mélange servant de matière première dans le procédé de conversion Ce catalyseur amélioré de conversion permet d'obtenir simultanément la dismutation d'éthylbenzène et l'isomérisation des xylènes.
