Abstract

L'invention concerne un générateur électrochimique comportant un boîtier comprenant un godet métallique fermé par un couvercle métallique dont la périphérie est entourée d'un joint d'étanchéité en contact avec la surface intérieure du godet, le bord du godet étant recourbé vers l'axe du boîtier en comprimant ledit joint. Selon l'invention, le joint s'appuie sur un anneau métallique s'appuyant lui-même sur la région périphérique du couvercle en laissant dégagée sa région centrale, un espace libre annulaire étant délimité par ledit anneau, ladite région périphérique et ledit joint. Application aux piles ou aux accumulateurs électriques.
