Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé pour préparer l'isomère trans- de l'oxyde de 3,1,5-triméthylcylohexyle et d'éthyle accompagné de faibles proportions de l'isomère cis-, en particulier léther trans- en proportions d'environ 95 % pour environ 5 % de l'isomère cis-, caractérisé en ce que l'on hydrogène l'oxyde de 3,3,5,-triméthylcylohexényle et éthyle sur des catalyseurs au nickel secs, en particulier le nickel 49A de Girdler, à une température de 150 à 200 degrés C, sous une pression d'hydrogène de 10 à 200 bars, en isolant le produit d'hydrogénation de la matière habituelle.
