Abstract

L'invention concerne une installation de détection de flamme à partir du rayonnement infrarouge de la radiation de résonance de l'anhydride carbonique. L'installation comprend des moyens 6 qui permettent de détecter la flamme de façon continue, pendant un temps très bref, en mesurant la différence d'intensité entre un premier rayonnement infrarouge émis par l'anhydride carbonique et un second rayonnement infrarouge émis dans une longueur d'onde voisine de celle du premier rayonnement. Un dispositif d'avertissement 7 est declanché par un détecteur de niveau 15 lorsque l'intensité du second rayonnement est supérieure à une valeur donnée. Application à la détection de flammes produites par le bois, les matières plastiques, le papier, l'essence d'automobile, etc.
