Abstract

A valve body has a screw threaded boss which receives a cap. The body has a conical seating in which the conical valve is received. The valve is pressed down into the body by a spring whose loading is varied by screwing the cap down or up. A washer is located between the spring and the cap. The valve stem has a through hole leading to drillings in the valve which feed annular grooves at the top and bottom. Grease is fed in under pressure through nipple so as to nearly balance the spring load. Excess grease collects beneath the valve and is released by an adjustable pressure release valve.
