Abstract

The tine support mechanism for an agricultural cultivator has the tine (21) provited at a pin (20) on a lever (18), iself pivoted at apin (19) on a bracket (16). This bracket is clamped to a beam (14) with a lug (17) which carries one end of a spring loaded telescopic link (27, 30). The bottom (32) of the link engages the lower surface of the lever (18), being located by by a stop (33). A spring (24) is connected between the tine (21) and lever (18) tilts, extending the link (27, 30). The tine can also yield relative to the lever by extension of the spring (24) up to the stage where the link surface (22, 23) engage. Movement permitted by the spring link assists the tine to clear the obstacle without causing lifting of the beam.
