Abstract

Automatic watering of the ground for plant growing is achieved using luminous rays which cut off the supply in the absence of natural or artificial light. The amount of water is controlled by humidity sensors. A case (1) contains a photoelectric cell (5) which operates relays in the power supply circuit (8) to prevent operation during natural or artificial lighting. Wires (2) connect the electronic control circuits (12) to humidity sensors (3, 4) in the ground. When humidity level falls below a particular level, an electrovalve (9) operates allowing water to flow from inlet piping (10) via an outlet (11) to sprinklers. When humidity level rises the supply is cut off by operation from the sensors.
