Abstract

Procédé de fabrication de disulfures de tétraalkylthiurames avec de hauts rendements, sans formation de sous-produits. On soumet le dialkyl-dithiocarbamate de métal alcalin approprié à une oxydation électrolytique qui est conduite dans un système liquide à deux couches comprenant soit 1 de l'eau et du disulfure de carbone, soit 2 de l'eau et un mélange de disulfure de carbone avec un halogénoalcane plus lourd que l'eau mais en moindre proportion, les électrodes étant placees dans la couche aqueuse contenant le dialkyl-dithiocarbamate. Le disulfure forme passe par extraction dans la couche inférieure de solvant d'où il est récupéré par évaporation du solvant. Le dialkyl-dithiocarbamate peut être formé en continu in situ par addition de disulfure de carbone et de la dialkylamine correspondante à la couche aqueuse, par réaction de ces composés avec l'hydroxyde de métal alcalin formé au cours de la reaction, ce qui permet d'exécuter le procédé en continu. Les produits obtenus sont utilisés comme accélérateurs et agents de vulcanisation pour caoutchoucs.
