Abstract

Casque de protection à structure composite réalisé par l'assemblage d'une calotte supérieure rigide, d'une coquille inférieure semi-rigide et d'une partie intérieure éventuellement composite, faisant fonction d'absorbeur de choc, obtenue à partir d'une matière synthétique du type polystyrène expansé. La coquille inférieure se prolonge de façon connue en soi au niveau de la mâchoire du porteur en formant un arc de cercle dont la face concave est garnie par un élément en matière synthétique thermosplastique du type ABS, polyéthylène, polypropylène, conforme de façon à constituer des alvéoles creuses séparées les unes des autres par des cloisons verticales, l'ensemble précédant constituant un absorbeur de choc absorbant l'énergie incidente lors d'un contact brutal entre la partie maxillaire du porteur et la partie du casque qui lui fait face. Application aux casques de sécurité, notamment pour véhicule à moteur à deux roues.
