Abstract

At the distribution area of irrigation apparatus flexible pipes are provided which have regulating valves fitted in them enabling the flow of water to be adjusted. A body (1) has an outer screw threaded shirt (2) and a groove (3) for receipt of an 0-ring (4). A flow and pressure controller (8) in the form of a thick tube is received within the inner shirt (7). Cap (10), which receives body (1), has a conical portion (12) mating with the conical end of (8). On screwing the cap down, the flow and pressure controller is deformably compressed, narrowing its bore at (16). A pointer and graduations at (9, 15) facilitate setting of the flow.
