Abstract
Loudspeaker system and enclosures designed to provide a high fidelity response, including phase corrections over the whole of the audio band required in such systems. The system consists of at least one high (1) and one low frequency response (2) speaker mounted vertically offset with respect to each other on a stepped baffle, the tweeter being mounted on the section furthest from the enclosure front. Phase correction between the speakers is by a delay network making up the delay (DELTA t) due to their offset position. The delay network is connected between the high and low pass filters associated with the two speakers, the high pass filter taking its input from the network.
