Abstract

PURPOSE:To expand sound quality variable range by letting a common frequency band be covered by plural speaker units of different directional characteristics and making variable the signal power to be supplied to the respective units. CONSTITUTION:An inductance 3 as an LPF is connected to a woofer 10 and a capacitor 4 constituting a dividing network with this acts as an HPF, the output whereof enters a distributor 5. The distributor 5 has sliding portions 6, 6' moving cooperatively and the outputs thereof are connected to tweeter units 7, 8 of respectively different directivities, which radiate output acoustic energies appropriate for the outputs from the distributor, are installed behind the dividing filter and cover the same frequency band. Thereby, the change in directional characteristic is made possible and the variable range of the sound quality may be expanded.
