Abstract

The vehicle transport lorry is esp. for medium and heavy industrial vehicles where both the tractor unit and the trailer have pivotable platform elements. These can be used both as inclined ramps for loading and as top platforms for carrying one of the transported vehicles. Between the vehicle and a bottom platform is an intermediate space for introducing a second vehicle. The lifting jacks for raising the platform elements are hinged at their bottom ends with the vehicle frame and at their top ends with elements which can be moved transversally by horizontal jacks such that the axis of each jack for lifting the platform elements can be inclined outwards about the bottom hinged connection by operation of the horizontal jacks.
