Abstract

Cette ligne flottante est utilisée pour délimiter des couloirs ou lignes de nage parallèles dans les piscines. Elle est formée par des éléments de forme générale cylindrique, enfilés les uns à la suite des autres sur un câble porteur. Chaque élément comprend d'une part un noyau central creux, servant de logement à un flotteur rapporté et comportant un passage pour le câble, et d'autre part des barrettes périphériques sensiblement parallèles à l'axe de l'élément. Certaines de ces barrettes comportent une extrémité en forme de crochet, permettant un emboîtement élastique des éléments les uns à la suite des autres. Cette réalisation perfectionnée permet d'arrêter les vagues et remous créées par le passage des nageurs, et elle s'applique notamment aux compétitions de natation.
