Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate mounting of a guide vane and enable high-efficiency operation in wide range by inserting a supporting vane, for attaching the guide vane to an entrance of first-stage runner and having a cylindrical supporting member around outside thereof, into a casing and fixing it.
CONSTITUTION: A guide vane 8 may be rotatably retained by setting a height of a supporting vane 10 equivalent to the height of the guide vane 8 plus a clearance necessary for rotating the upper and lower surfaces of the guide vane 8 while an axial position of an intermediate stay vane 5 laminatedly attached within an outer tube 4 may be fixed by securing an upper cover 6 to a speed ring 7 through bolts 11. Accordingly, a multiple stage water turbine may be composed by mounting the guide vane 8 by laminating vane 5, a lower cover 9 and an upper cover 6 within the cylindrical inner surface of the outer tube 4 and the ring 7. Thus, the mounting of the guide vane is facilitated and high-efficiency operation in wide range may be enabled.
