Abstract

A rotor for a helicopter has an even number of rotor blades which are supported in pairs lying diametrically opposite to each other on the rotor head. The support is provided by a single angle bearing which permits rotation movement with each pair of rotor blades having a torsion elastic connection on the root side between the blades. The torsion elastic connection with both corresponding rotor blades (1) is combined into an integral construction unit which is supported in the root area of the appropriate rotor blade by a bearing (3) on the rotor head which permits the blade angle and blade impact movements. The torsion elastic connection is made as a rod formed flat at right angles to the rotor plane.
