Abstract

The spanner fits onto a universal joint consisting of a ball and socket which is driven by two gear wheels. The spanner heads are designed with a hexagonal portion to fit the nut and a cylindrical portion to fit the bolt. The universal joint enables the fitting to be used for various angles of work. The ball of the universal joint pref. has a hexagonal cross section, each face of the hexagon being curved.
