Abstract

A small cylinder (1) is clamped by means of flanges (2) between the outlet of the carburettor and the inlet of the suction manifold. A spindle (4) is supported along the axis of the cylinder by means of cross arms (3). A felt covered sleeve (5) is attached to the spindle and carries propeller blades (6). Oil vapours are retained on the felt. The aspiration of the engine acting on the blades (6) rotates the propeller. This atomises the gases which are not burnt and thus transforms them into a harmless and non toxic cloud. The sleeve (5) is constructed as a short felt cylinder held between upper and lower circular discs.
