Abstract

The loose leaf file (1) has a binder formed from two similar moulded plastics sections (2), (3). Each section consists of a channel section (15) with turned in flanges adjoining a hollow box section. The outer flange of the channel section is joined by a flexible hinge to a flap (8) which has a slotted edge which grips the file cover (7). The two channel sections are joined together by strips of flexible plastics (22) which also pass through the holes in the edges of the loose sheets (6). The ends of these flexible strips are retained by a sliding piece of channel section (13) with turned out flanges, which fit inside the main channel section (15).
