Abstract

The automatic mechanism is for the rear wheel train of a reversible or semi-mounted plough. A first double-acting ram acts between the steering arm on the rigid axle of the rear wheels and a pivot pin which can slide in the lengthwise direction. A second such ram acts between the tractor drawbar and a point on the implement chassis, and detects the angle of the implement axis in relation to that of the tractor. The two chambers of the ram are connected to those of the first, so that in the central travelling position the implement rear wheels are always steered to match the angle of the tractor steering wheels. A third and compensating double-acting ram mounted along the implement axis is coupled by its piston rod to the pivot pin of the first ram.
