Filaments et fibres de polyesters téréphtaliques ayant un pouvoir d'absorption de l'humidité d'au moins 1 à 65 % d'humidité relative et une capacité de rétention de l'humidité d'au moins 15 %. On les obtient en mélangeant à des polyesters téréphtaliques, consistant pour au moins 90 moles % en éléments de structure de formule générale :
