Abstract

An inner screwed cap (3) has upstanding lugs (11) which engage between corresponding lugs depending from inside the top of an outer cap. The outer cap is retained on the inner cap by an internal shoulder which engages under the lower edge of the inner cap. The opposed lugs have vertical faces which engage when the outer cap is rotated to screw the inner cap on to the neck of a receptacle. The faces which engage when the outer cap is turned in the opposite direction are inclined so the outer cap lifts on the inner cap so the latter is not unscrewed. Axial pressure has to be exerted on the outer cap to unscrew the inner cap.
