Abstract

The height adjustable seat, espec. for vehicles has a swivel-mounted back rest (12) which can be swivelled about articulated fittings (11) wherein the parts (13) of these fittings which are connected to the seat unit (10) for the support (14) for the seat and are hinged to the swivel supports (16, 17) of the setting mechanism which are mounted on the substructure (15). A frame serving only to support the seat unit can thus be dispensed with and the articulated parts of the fitting which are already present and can now serve to support the seat need only be extended to form a stable holder for the seat.
