Abstract
Accélérateurs linéaires permettant d'obtenir des particules accélérées dans un grand domaine d'énergie sans modification de l'énergie haute fréquence injectée dans les cavités de la structure accélératrice. Un système coupleur-déphaseur W, recevant le signal w haute fréquence d'un générateur G, et comportant deux guides d'ondes W1 et W2 couplés entre eux au moyen d'un trou de couplage 8, permet d'injecter respectivement dans la section accélératrice K 1 et dans la section groupeuse K2 des signaux w1 et w2 d'amplitudes et de phases prédéterminées, des moyens de déphasage (un plongeur en quartz par exemple) étant associés au guide d'ondes w2 . Les accélérateurs linéaires munis d'un tel système coupleur-déphaseur W peuvent être utilisés avantageusement dans les appareils médicaux de radiothérapie.
