Abstract

Dispositif de synchronisation à intervalle indéterminé utilisant un registre à décalage de longueur variable. Dans un système d'interface entre un canal et des unités d'entrée-sortie communiquant par un système de demande réponse on utilise un registre à décalage principal et un registre à décalage secondaire formant un registre de longueur variable. Les différents échanges de message utilisent des parties du registre principal décalant un << 1 >> binaire jusqu'à la dernière bascule de la partie, qui émet le signal demande tout en déclenchant un décalage d'un << 1 >> binaire dans le registre secondaire. La réponse en temps opportun stoppe le décalage dans le registre secondaire tout en activant l'echange suivant dans la partie suivante du registre principal. Si le << 1 >> est décalé jusqu'à l'extrémité du registre secondaire il engendre un signal d'erreur arrêtant l'échange. Peut être utilisé dans tout système d'interface de communication avec des unités d'entrée-sortie.
