Abstract

Cette invention concerne un dispositif de guidage et d'appui pour rabot guidé le long du front de taille et comportant un corps supérieur. Le guide supérieur du rabot est constitué par des plaques de bardage ou d'appui qui sont disposées sur le soutènement marchant et qui peuvent être appliquées contre le front de taille par des dispositifs tels que des vérins. Pour le passage du rabot, ces plaques d'appui peuvent être repoussées à l'écart du front de taille jusque dans une position d'appui du rabot, individuellement ou par groupes et de façon automatique, sur une distance correspondant sensiblement à l'épaisseur du corps supérieur du rabot. Un agencement de ce type permet de soutenir constamment le rabot dans sa partie supérieure, d'une manière s'opposant à son basculement.
