Abstract

L'invention a pour objet un procédé d'oxydation électrochimique d'un composé aromatique alcoxy-su stitué permettant d'obtenir des rendements élevés en l'isomère de position désiré, qui consiste à conduire l'oxydation dans une cellule électrochimique en présence d'acide propionique, d'un sel d'un métal alcalin ou alcalino-terreux de celui-ci et d'un agent de transfert de phase comprenant un sel d'ammonium ou de phosphonium tétraalkylé ayant de 1 à 20 atomes de carbone dans la chaîne, et, après séparation classique, à recueillir le composé aromatique alcoxy-substitué ainsi propionyloxylé.
