Abstract
Acier inoxydable austénitique doté d'une excellente résistance à l'éraillure sous forme ouvrée ou moulée et à l'état recuit, d'une excellente résistance à la corrosion sous tension dans des milieux contenant des chlorures et d'une bonne résistance à la corrosion intergranulaire. L'acier se compose essentiellement, en pourcent en poids, de 14 à 16 % de chrome, de 14 à 17 % de nickel, de 0,5 % à 3 % de manganèse, de 4 % à 5,5 % de silicium, de 0,03 % à 0,1 % de carbone, d'environ 0,03 % d'azote au maximum, d'environ 0,05 % de phosphore au maximum, d'environ 0,05 % de soufre, le complément étant constitué par du fer et des impuretés accidentelles. Applications où l'on rencontre simultanément un contact métal-métal mobile, l'attaque par corrosion et/ou des températures élevées.
