Abstract

In a pyroelectric 'Vidicon' (RTM), esp. a target plate structure for this, with a transparent electrode on the side exposed to radiation, the electrode is beyond the substrate and an extremely thin (insulating) polymer substrate, pref. 1 mu m thick, is used. The target plate structure is simplified. The polymer pref. is 'Mylar' or 'Pyre-ML' (RTM's).
