Abstract

L'invention concerne une ligne à retard pour des tubes amplificateurs à ondes progressives. Dans une telle ligne constituée par des parois transversales 1 comportant des ouvertures centrales 4 et des obturateurs transversaux 2 et des fentes de couplage 5, dans le cas où la bande de service est déterminée par les dimensions de ces fentes et où les champs électriques de l'onde principale sont affaiblis essentiellement par la voie d'amortissement 16, lesdites fentes de couplage 5 sont rétrécies au niveau de la voie d'amortissement pour que la fréquence limite supérieure de la bande de service soit au moins aussi élevée que dans le reste de la ligne à retard. Application notamment aux tubes à ondes progressives pour l'amplification des ondes millimétriques.
