Abstract

The mower has a piece of non-metallic, flexible cutting line with a diameter of at least 1.524 mm. There is a rotatable support device to allow the cutter line to rotate about an axis in a cutting plane. An electric motor is a.c. supplied and is connected with a full wave rectifier bridge to increase the torque transmitted to the cutter line. There is a cutting head with a concentric, coil-shaped reserve section. A spool can be inserted in this reserve section to pick-up the wound up cutting line section in the cutting plane.
