Abstract

Les chariots hydro-électriques de mer utilisent la houle et les vagues comme source d'énergie pour fournir de l'électricité. Ce sont des engins nautiques autonomes disposant de leur propre système de flottaison et accastillage. Ils peuvent se deplacer facilement et fonctionner en permanence amarrés ou ancrés. Ils peuvent être utilisés par les bateaux ou autres engins nautiques au mouillage ou en marche (généralement pris en remorque). Ces chariots hydro-électriques de mer sont construits à partir d'un bâti 1 suspendu à des flotteurs libres 2 par des attaches mobiles 3. Une machine 4 par des transmissions 5 fournit à un générateur électrique 6, l'énergie mécanique nécessaire à la production d'électricité. Un câble 7 livre le courant aux transformateurs, accumulateurs, etc. Des chariots hydro-électriques de petite taille peuvent recharger en permanence les accumulateurs des voiliers ou autres engins nautiques. Des machines plus conséquentes groupées pourraient constituer un barrage hydro-électrique.
