Abstract

Structure composite comportant une matière de matrice renforcée par des panneaux tricotés d'étoffe empilés. On tricote les panneaux directement dans la forme discoïde désirée, sans gaspillage d'étoffe, en tricotant une hélice d'étoffe sur un métier à tricoter à trame à fonture rectiligne comportant un mécanisme de dessin permettant la mise en forme et un pied presseur ou des platines cueillantes pour maintenir le tricot sur les aiguilles. On peut fermer l'hélice d'étoffe pour constituer l'empilement de panneaux directement, ou bien on peut le séparer en panneaux discoïdes séparés en incorporant des fils de séparation reliant des tours successifs de l'hélice. On peut tricoter les panneaux discoïdes à partir de fil acrylique oxydé, puis les chauffer pour carboniser le fil. Application notamment à la fabrication de disques de frein.
