Abstract

The connector or socket provides simple connection to a printed circuit board (4) using single pole plug connections (51). The connector shell (1, 2) is in two halves which are bolted together. The connector electrodes (7) are so arranged that the circuit board (4) is inserted from one side along the length of the connector, the plug connector points (2, 3) being arranged in pairs across the width of the other side. Each such electrode has three single piece sprung forks, one fork being recessed on one side of the board for the printed circuit and the remaining two on the opposite side but in the same plane as the first.
