Abstract

PURPOSE: To make a coupler compact by providing a housing, having a pair of connector part connected so that an inline junction can be formed with in a data bus, a line of contacts for forming attachable and detachable connections to a plurality of stubs, and a transformer connected between a pair of conductors and the contacts. CONSTITUTION: This coupler has lines of eight male or female contacts 5, 6, each having a pair of concentrically arranged contact parts, which are arranged on the same axis, and two contacts 5 mutually connected within a housing 2 by conductors 7, so that the contacts 5 can be connected to a main data bus in order to form an inline connection in a data bus, when the coupler is inserted into a socket. The six contacts 6 are connected to the conductors 7 through an insulating transformer 8 and a resistor 9 of 52Ω installed to a printed circuit board, respectively. Thus, the coupler can be manufactured with small dimensions.
