Abstract

A multi-pole electrical connector has two interconnectable strip-shaped parts (1, 2) one of which supports contact prongs or blades and the other of which supports contact sockets or springs. Each connector part has at least two receiving recesses (5, 6) therein and the contacts for the connector parts are provided in block-shaped units (3, 4) which are insertable in the recesses. The number of poles and the nature of the contacts can be selected in accordance with requirements by selection of appropriate contact units for insertion in the recesses. <IMAGE>
