Abstract
L'invention concerne un support pour catalyseur comprenant essentiellement un gel de phospha-alumine qui une fois séché et calciné a un diamètre moyen de pores supérieur à 100 Angström et dans lequel moins de 30 % du volume total des pores existe sous forme de pores ayant un diamètre inférieur à 100 Angström. On prépare ce produit en faisant précipiter un gel de phospha-alumine à partir d'une solution aqueuse d'un composé minéral soluble dans l'eau de l'aluminium et d'un composé minéral soluble dans l'eau du phosphore. Le gel de phospha-alumine peut être utilisé comme support de catalyseur après imprégnation avec un métal actif sur le plan catalytique, en particulier pour des opérations d'élimination du soufre et de l'azote ou d'hydrogenation de produits pétroliers.
