Abstract

The surveillance and maintenance installation is for deep water structures, standing on foundations on the sea bed. A submerged part rests on the seabed and supports a platform above the water. There is a monorail suspended under the platform at a distance appropriate to the items which require inspection and maintenance. From the monorail is suspended, on bogies, a locomotive and a winching trolley which carries a dining bell. The monorail has two branches leading to a station plated at one side of the platform, the station comprising a garage and a decompression area which is equipped with gas tanks and a decompression chamber.
