Abstract

A woven fabric has two layers of rubber warp yarns into which are woven weft yarns wool. The weft yarns are woven into the warp so that they pass alternately over and under the warp yarns of the upper and lower warp layers. The fabric is used as an elasticated surgical bandage. Elasticity is provided in both the longitudinal and transverse directions.
