Abstract

The convenience food cooking container is both for the cooking and eating of previously prepared food, after hot water has been poured over it and then drained off again, and has a removable lid. A drain passage (4) is provided at the top of the container for pouring fluid away typically in the form of a gap between container (1) and lid (2). The gap is formed between a protusion (3) on the lid edge and the container sidewall. Alternatively, there may be a small hole in the lid, or a portion which can be broken off to form a small hole, within a perforation line or slits.
