Abstract

The phase demodulator has the input signal applied to a sampling coder (4) that multiplies it by an interdigital sampling function. The coder's output passes one way directly to a multiplexer (5) and the other way over a sign inverter to the multiplexer. The interdigital function is given by the sum over all positive and negative values of i, of (-1)1 d(t-i/2fp) where fp is the carrier frequency or a sub-multiple of the carrier frequency . d(t - i/2fp) is the Dirac function.
